Nanami Seki (関菜々巳, Seki Nanami, born 12 June 1999) is a professional Volleyball player in the Setter position.[1][2] She has been a part of the Japan women's national volleyball team since 2019.[3]
Career
Nanami was born in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture and she has an older sister. She was inspired by her older sister to start playing volleyball in her second grade of elementary school.[4][5]
Nanami decided to enroll at Kashiwai High School after watching the All Japan Volleyball High School Championship when she was in Junior High.
In 2016 she was selected to represent Japan at the 2016 Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship and placed second at the tournament.[6]
From 2018 to 2024 she competed in V.League (Japan) as a player of Toray Arrows.[1]
With her national team, she participated in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship,[7] 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League,[8][9] and 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League.[10][11]
