Monique Journod (14 March 1935 – 1 March 2024) was a French painter and lithographer.[1] She lived in the Cité Montmartre-aux-artistes [fr] at 189 Rue Ordener [fr].
Biography
Born in Rome on 14 March 1935, Journod was a student of Roger Chapelain-Midy [fr] at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, earning the Deuxième Prix de Rome in 1962.[2] She was a member of the Fondation Taylor [fr] and president of the painters' section of the Exhibition of French Artists [fr].[2] She had received praise from Paul Ambille [fr].[3]
Monique Journod died on 1 March 2024, at the age of 88.[4]
