Winning percentage four digits

Can an option be done for goal percentage with 4 digits, for example like the win percentage with notratio setting?

I need help if there is another notratio code for goal percentage please, anyone who can help me?

Withdrawal?

Is it possible to replace the entire row of win/draw/loss totals with a merged cell saying "Withdrew" or other custom text? I came across this issue with Syria's involvement in the UEFA qualification pathway for the 1966 World Cup (see here). Instead of showing zeros, it would be much more useful to state that Syria withdrew after being drawn into Group 9. – PeeJay 16:06, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Does this case really need a template when it could easily be replaced by prose? "Group 9 was drawn to comprise Spain, the Republic of Ireland and Syria. Before any games were played Syria withdraw from the competition. Spain and Ireland played each other twice with Spain qualifying for the finals 4-2 on aggregate."

Because that is just not what happened. They did treat it as a group stage with two and when the two finished with the same points, an extra play-off game was organized between them. The same thing happened in group 1. Tvx1 08:32, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wasn't there a status letter denoting withdrawals? We can use "W", then have a footnote as well to drive home the point. There were some tables that colored black/gray the row for the team that withdrew. Howard the Duck (talk) 21:05, 28 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect Sorting of the Position in 2025–26 EFL League One

Hello, in the table for the 2025–26 EFL League One, the order of the positions is incorrect in one place. Rotherham United has 41 points and is in 22nd place. Port Vale has 42 points and is in 23rd place, even though they have one more point. In the original table in efl.com, both teams are listed in the correct positions. Well, forget about the WL OT subtemplate. I've created the table using the Custom subtemplate. But now I really need your help: How do I enter the code for the sum of four columns into the article? The |colstyle1=sum_S_T only allows you to sum two columns not four. Water polo seems to be a very complicated system to score and at the moment I don't think there is a way to make any sports table variant do what you want without having to input some column manually. So you could use WL OT and manually input the points or (and I think might be easier) use Custom as you have and manually input the number of matches played (side note, the source doesn't include psw or psl so are you including "official" terms or "interesting" info which might be better using notes?).
That said I think it's worth looking at what changes need to be made to let columns be the sum (or diff) of more than two other columns. Nthep (talk) 09:52, 28 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Nthep: As you could see on the official tournament website, the table also includes a "Tied" column, which is complete nonsense. Interestingly, Hungary won against Canada today after a penalty shootout, but the organizers added a simple win to Hungary and a simple loss to Canada to the table... This crazy scoring system was only invented this year; tournament organizers haven't gotten used to it yet (it seems). Anyway, I think if we created a new sub-module, {{#invoke:Sports table/Water polo}}, we wouldn't break anything; the last column would be "TPI" instead of "Points" and the values ​​would be entered manually. Oh, and of course, the "Played" column would be an automatic sum of the following four columns. 😉 Maiō T. (talk) 11:30, 28 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I've added the following code to the module: "local matches = wins + psw + psl + draws + losses" and also a few "mandatory details". Everything is tested and works fine. I think (or I believe) this issue is solved. Maiō T. (talk) 22:30, 28 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
You've done a job which solves your immediate issue. The module now adds the number of matches played which is all you want but the added parameters do not feature in any points calculations which may be relevant to another editor's use of the module. Really that's breaking the module - see User:Nthep/sandbox14 for an (admittedly hypothetical) example. psa should have a points value which is included in the points total without me having to alter the points total manually.
I'm going to revert your changes to the module (not the sandbox) and temporarily point 2026 World Aquatics Women's U16 Water Polo Championships to the sandbox so that it displays what you want it to do i.e sum the matches to include those that went to penalty wins/losses while we establish what's the best way to solve your issue without creating difficulties for others either now or later. This might be that creating Sports table/Water Polo is the answer or building some test cases to use in testing this or other changes to Custom. Nthep (talk) 08:18, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Okay Nthep; I didn't realize that within the "Custom" sub-module it is also necessary to think about calculating the total number of points... I'm already looking forward to the "Water polo" sub-module; that would probably be the best solution.
And as for the "Custom" module, I have a pretty good idea: Since this is a custom module, each wiki-user could also insert a unique points-calculation parameter into their own article. It could look something like this:

@Nthep: Yes, but this is currently the only option for calculating points within this sub-module. (Am I right?) Since this is a user-defined module, there could be maybe ten or more various combinations of the following data: Standard wins for 2 or 3 points, overtime wins for 1 or 2 points, penalty shootout wins, draws, OT losses, PSO losses, standard losses for 0 or 1 point... at the moment it only covers win, loss, draw, rounds won, and adjustments. So yes ideally it would cater for more but the point is not to have too many and work out what fits most situations. There are only two minor differences: In the column headers OTW vs. PSW and in the abbreviations in the article source code |otw_USA=10 vs. |psw_USA=10.
