English footballer (born 2002)
Louie Moulden (born 6 January 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays for Crystal Palace, as a goalkeeper.[2]
Personal life
Born in Bolton,[1] Moulden is the son of former player Paul Moulden.[3]
Career
Moulden began his career with Liverpool and Manchester City; his transfer between the two was investigated by regulators.[4][5] He spent time on loan at Gloucester City.[6]
He then signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2021,[3] spending further loan spells at Ebbsfleet United,[7] Solihull Moors,[8] and Rochdale.[9][10][11] He was recalled from his loan at Rochdale in January 2024,[12] and signed on loan for Northampton Town later that month.[13] Moulden said he would challenge for the starting position,[14] a sentiment echoed by Northampton manager Jon Brady.[15]
On 22 August 2024, Moulden joined Crystal Palace on a free transfer.[16]
