Kangavar County (Persian: شهرستان کنگاور)[a] is in Kermanshah province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kangavar.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Gowdin was elevated to the status of a city.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 80,215 in 19,825 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 81,051 people in 22,665 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 76,216 in 23,253 households.[2]
