The Rev.Henry Arthur LesterMA (1873–1922) was a theologian, author and director of the Bishop of London’s Sunday School Council from 1911 until his sudden death in 1922.[1][2]
Life
Henry Arthur Lester was born in 1873.[1] He was educated at Bedford Modern School and the University of Oxford as a non-collegiate student where he took honours in Modern History (BA (1895), MA (1899)).[2][1]
Lester married Alice Perrin, daughter of John Perrin of Thurnham, Kent.[2] They had three sons and a daughter.[2] Lester died on 24 July 1922 at his home in Muswell Hill, London.[1]
