Heliotropium aegyptiacum is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae, native to Egypt, northwest tropical Africa, Socotra, Kenya, and the Arabian Peninsula.^[1] It is favored by desert locusts (Schistocerca gregaria), but is toxic to livestock.^[2]
