Heinz Robert Mörschel Moreno (born 24 August 1997) is a Dominican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Portuguese 2nd division club Vizela .[ 3] [ 4] [ 5] A former youth international for Germany, he plays for the Dominican Republic national team .
Club career
Mörschel is a youth exponent from 1. FSV Mainz 05 . He made his 3. Liga debut with Mainz 05 II on 10 August 2016 against VfL Osnabrück .[ 6]
In June 2018, Mörschel joined 2. Bundesliga side Holstein Kiel on a two-year contract.[ 7] He then joined SC Preußen Münster on 1 July 2019.[ 8]
In August 2020, he joined KFC Uerdingen 05 on a contract until June 2022.[ 9] However, he left Uerdingen prematurely and joined Dynamo Dresden in January 2021.[ 10]
International career
Mörschel was born in the Dominican Republic to a German father and Dominican mother, and moved to Germany at 8 months old.[ 11] He is a youth international for Germany, having played for the Germany U18s .[ 12] He was called up to the Dominican Republic national team for a set of 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League matches in September 2023.[ 13] [ 14]
