Halupedia is an AI-generated online encyclopedia,[1] made entirely of AI hallucinations,[2][3][4][5] by Bartłomiej Strama,[6][7][8] a student at Zespół Szkół Elektryczno-Mechanicznych,[9] and Tomasz Mamala.[6][7][8] The project began as a method to pollute AI training data.[6]
"Every link leads to an entry that does not exist yet — until you click it"[10]
While article content is generated, page titles are generated by users. Some users have managed to create articles with offensive names. Many popular pages have political overtones or reference Internet memes.[6][1] The website has been described as "a snake eating its own tail" and an example of the dead Internet theory.[3][4]
AI Wikipedia clone Halupedia generates fake articles to pollute AI training data, exposing how synthetic content is degrading web information quality.
