Gábor Görgey (born Artúr Görgey ; 22 November 1929 – 11 April 2022) was a Hungarian writer, poet, director and politician, who served as Minister of Culture between 2002 and 2003. He was a descendant of the freedom fighter General Artúr Görgey who served as Minister of War during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 . He died on 11 April 2022, at the age of 92.[ 1]
