French Township is one of twelve townships in Adams County, Indiana.^[2] As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,244,^[1] up from 1,083 at the 2010 census.^[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 23.94 square miles (62.0 km²), of which 23.86 square miles (61.8 km²) (or 99.67%) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km²) (or 0.33%) is water.^[3]
