Federal teaching hospital, Iddo Ekiti is a public hospital located in Ekiti state and used by the federal University of Oye Ekiti to train her Medical Students.[1] The hospital serve as isolation centre during the outbreak of diseases like lassa fever, the hospital premises also serve a learning environment for students in the school of nursing of the state.[2][1]

History

There were 703 staffs in the school according to a statistics released in 2021 by the CMD with 629 staffs promoted and 71 new staffs hired.[3]In 2022, the Ogunruku family donated a six bedroom flat to the teaching hospital to immortalise one of the member of the family, Ifelola Ana-Ogunruku who died as a bachelor.[4]

New annex of the hospital was approved for construction by Muhammad Ali Pate in 2023.[5]

Administration

Thr Chief Medical Director of FEHI is Adekunle Ajayi who was first appointed in December 2017 and his appointment renewed in 2021 by the Mohammad Buhari's Administration.[6][7]

Foluso Moronke Adelegan was appointed by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare as the Director of Administration and secretary to the board management of Federal Teaching hospital iddo Ekiti in 2024.[8]
