A view of Fariman's Dam. An ancient dam possibly dating back to the reign of Sassanid kings of Persia but it was rebuilt during the Timurid and the Qajar era in its current form.
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 32,610 in 8,203 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 36,550 people in 10,254 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 39,515 people in 11,755 households.[2]
