Zoeanna Doyle

Zoeanna Doyle (born 13 October 2007), professionally known as Zoeanna, is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician from County Kildare, Ireland. She performs primarily in the indie pop and indie rock genres and is known for emotionally driven songwriting, expressive vocals and live performances.

Doyle began performing publicly as a young musician and has developed a presence within Ireland’s emerging independent music scene. She has performed both as a solo artist and as a vocalist with the Athy-based musical collective MOA.

Early life

Doyle was born in Ireland in 2007 and grew up in County Kildare. She developed an interest in music from a young age, eventually pursuing vocal performance and songwriting.

She later studied Music Performance at Carlow Institute, while continuing to perform live and develop her career as a singer-songwriter.

Music career

Early performances

Doyle established herself as a live vocalist through performances at events around County Kildare and beyond. She has shared stages and performed in events involving established Irish musicians including Bob Geldof, Danny O’Reilly, Jack Lukeman and Amble.

MOA

Doyle became a lead vocalist of MOA, an Athy-based collective of young musicians created to celebrate and develop the town’s musical heritage.

MOA featured Doyle alongside fellow vocalists Makayla Farrell, Faith Price and Darragh Ennis, with the wider group consisting of eight young musicians. (kildare-nationalist.ie)

The group released an album celebrating artists associated with Athy’s musical history, performing songs connected to acts including The Smiths, The Buzzcocks, The Stone Roses, The Divine Comedy, Jack L and Picture This. (kildare-nationalist.ie)

Doyle began releasing music independently under the name Zoe Doyle, later developing the artistic identity Zoeanna.
