WEAIR is a start-up cargo airline based in Sri Lanka. The airline mainly flies freight and cargo instead of passengers. Its main base of operations is at Bandaranaike International Airport near Colombo.[1]
The airline was set up to help with the growing demand for air cargo in South Asia. It connects Sri Lanka with other countries by moving goods like clothes, food, and electronics.
On 6 June 2026, WEAIR was officially launched by Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism at The Kingsbury, Colombo.[2]
WEAIR will fly cargo routes between Sri Lanka and several international airports, mostly in Asia and the Middle East.
