Tutopia Learning App [1]is an Indian EdTech company founded in 2021. It is based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The company offers curriculum-based digital learning solutions to students of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE). The learning app offers academic content in Bengali and is dedicated to board exam preparation from Class 7 to Class 12.
History
Tutopia,[2] the brainchild of its founders, came into being during the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2021. During this period, the team saw that there were no adequate resources available to help students in the Bengali medium[3] prepare for their board exams [4] and feel confident completing them successfully. While there were many online platforms[5] available to support English-speaking [6] students, they found a lack of accessible, affordable, organised, board-specific materials in the Bengali language.The website was first launched[7] for Classes 8, 9, and 10. Later, it was extended to include Classes 7 to 12. Tutopia[8] is linked to a business conglomerate that comprises Hi-Tech Animation and Moople Academy, which added animation skills to Tutopia’s[9] online learning[10] materials.
