Trivia Night is a 2016 American dark comedy film directed by Robert Gregson and produced by Local Empire.[1]It stars Addison Anderson as the lead actor. Addison Anderson plays Scott, a New York City-based underground trivia genius who once appeared in but flunked out of the in-movie famous TV game show called "Trivia Night" and his attempt to play the game show one more time before it goes out of business. His former college quiz bowl teammate Davis pays him a surprise visit while also auditioning for "Trivia Night" in New York and a heated rivalry ensues while he bunks in Scott's apartment for the week.
The independent film was first released in May 31, 2016 as part of the NYC Independent Film Festival.[2] Although it did not receive a theatrical release, the film is accessible via other methods such as streaming and public library source Hoopla. [3]
