• Comment: Thank you for the changes, but it's still essentially a sales pitch, everything is positive, promotional, and neutral balance is missing here. Direct links inside the article are also not allowed. It's not clear that there are 3 examples that meet the requirements of WP:SIRS. toob (too-b) is an internet service provider (ISP) with headquarters in Portsmouth on the South Coast of England. toob operates across a combination of its own network build, and through a partnership with CityFibre.^[1], to provide full-fibre (Fibre to the Premises or FTTP) broadband to towns and cities across England and Scotland. As of September 2025, toob had 100,000 connected customers^[2].

toob was founded in November 2017 by CEO Nick Parbutt, and CFO Mike Banwell, ex-Vodafone Directors, who have worked within the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. They were joined by Operations & IT Director - Andy Luckham, Strategy, Commercial & Propositions Director - Di Godsave and Technology Director - Sean Teggart. In April 2019, toob was operating with this team of five experienced Directors and Executives from Vodafone^[3].

toob received investment from Amber Infrastructure Group^[4], Sequoia^[5]. and most recently Ares Management^[6].

toob invested £50 million into their own network in their flagship city, Southampton^[7], and connected their first customer connected in December 2019.

From 2020 onwards, toob has continued to expand its own full-fibre network across the South of England, focusing within Hampshire and Surrey.

Since 2022, toob has partnered with CityFibre^[8] to expand its broadband services further across the UK on CityFibre's full-fibre network. Due to this partnership, toob launched its services across England in regions such as Dorset, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Tyne and Wear, as well as in Scotland, servicing regions such as Glasgow and Inverness^[9].

toob have worked closely with Southampton City Council to provide full-fibre to over 18,000 council houses, City Catering to provide free hot meals for school children and vulnerable adults, as well as fundraising for Solent Mind through a number of events.

Southampton-based Asian and ethnic community radio station, Unity 101, has had close ties with toob since its initial network roll out in 2019, and in 2024 celebrated five years of partnership with the altnet^[10].

toob launched its community engagement programme, donating its 900 Mbps full-fibre service to local community centres across its network such as the Community Grub Hub in Aldershot^[11].

toob provides full-fibre broadband services to home users and businesses. As a broadband-only service provider, toob currently offer speeds from 150 Mbps to 900 Mbps.

In 2024, it launched a social tariff broadband^[12] for those on a range of government-backed financial support services^[13].

toob also offer add-ons to their service including ‘static IP’, ‘complete wi-fi', and have partnered with Phonely for VOIP services^[14].

In August 2022, ISPreview found toob to be the fastest broadband provider in the UK as part of their bi-annual review into the UK’s average broadband download and upload speeds^[15].

In June 2023, toob received two awards at the UK Fibre Awards:

• UK Fibre Provider of the Year – highly commended^[16]

In July 2023, toob won ‘SME of the Year’ at the Central South Business Awards^[17].

In 2025, toob won Contact Centre of the Year^[18] under 250 seats at the North East Contact Centre Awards (NECCA)^[19].

Awarded ‘Best Value for Money’ by Broadband Genie. As well as being awarded runners-up for Best Altnet, Speed Satisfaction and Best Provider^[20] in March 2024.

In August 2025, toob won 3 regional awards at the 2025 Broadband Genie Awards, being named ‘Best Provider’ in the Midlands, East and South East of England^[21].

toob have ranked in The Sunday Times 100 Tech - Britain's fastest growing private tech companies for two years running. They ranked 4th in 2025^[22] and 9th in 2026^[23]
