Where to get help
If you need help editing or submitting your draft, please ask us a question at the AfC Help Desk or get live help from experienced editors. These venues are only for help with editing and the submission process, not to get reviews.
If you need feedback on your draft, or if the review is taking a lot of time, you can try asking for help on the talk page of a relevant WikiProject. Some WikiProjects are more active than others so a speedy reply is not guaranteed.
To improve your odds of a faster review, tag your draft with relevant WikiProject tags using the button below. This will let reviewers know a new draft has been submitted in their area of interest. For instance, if you wrote about a female astronomer, you would want to add the Biography, Astronomy, and Women scientists tags.
Reliable sources include: reputable newspapers, magazines, academic journals, and books from respected publishers.
Unacceptable sources include: personal blogs, social media, predatory publishers, most tabloids, and websites where anyone can contribute.
Replace any unreliable sources with high-quality sources. If you cannot find a reliable source for the material, it should be removed.

Comment: Need more significant coverage about Oliver in reliable independent secondary sources with reputations for accuracy and fact-checking. The SCC documents are primary sources; the County Councils Network references stem from his role with the organisation, so not independent, while other references (eg daughter's illness) are not relevant to his main notability as a politician. No mention of which party he represented. No references concerning his legal business. Paul W (talk) 17:48, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: A bit more work is needed here, but not a lot.1) Notability is there via SCC leadership, but there is no independent reliable sourcing of that, just primary. There will be heaps of newspapers to choose from here, one or two will do the job, so an easy fix.2) Inline citation for every fact that can be queried is mandatory for WP:BLP and with a WP:COI that requirement is stronger still. Things like schools and university either need a source or can be left for now, until there is a source. Because there is notability on SCC, that's the story, not the school background.3) The fundraising for the subject's late daughter is admirable but it comes across as promotional since fundamentally from an encyclopedia perspective it's not part of the subject's career. The language needs to be that of an encyclopedia, so dry and crisp, and focused on the subject.4) If you get to be leader of SCC you are going to get some criticisms and negative comments. At the moment the article is rather promotional and this should now be balanced by other material. If there is COI in place then this is the sin of omission territory. Once in mainspace there will be plenty more updates, so no need to overdo it, but at least some criticism should be covered. ChrysGalley (talk) 12:11, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
