The Chitombis are a South African social media content creation duo consisting of Daniel Chitombi and Ingrid-Rose Chitombi. Previously based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, and currently residing in Umhlanga, the couple is primarily known for producing lifestyle, comedic, and family-oriented digital content documenting their daily life, intercultural marriage, and experiences as parents.
Background and personal life
Daniel Chitombi, originally from Zimbabwe, and Ingrid-Rose Chitombi, originally from Chatsworth, Durban, met in 2021 and were married in 2023.[1] Aside from their digital content creation, Daniel and Ingrid-Rose head up Nyasha Productions, a multi-function marketing agency.[2] The couple welcomed their first child in 2025. The couple's public content frequently explores the dynamics of their interracial relationship, navigating family boundaries, and early parenthood. Ingrid-Rose has spoken publicly about choosing her husband despite facing pushback from extended family members over their cultural and national differences.[3]
Content creation and media features
The duo gained broader regional and international visibility through viral digital content detailing their everyday domestic experiences and celebrating their relationship online.[4] In 2025, a humorous video documenting their encounter with a home security alarm system attracted local traction and was featured by regional media outlets, including East Coast Radio (ECR).[5] They have also utilized their platforms to discuss social issues in South Africa, sharing personal testimony regarding interracial relationships, social cohesion, and overcoming prejudice.
