Tecsys Inc. is a Canadian enterprise software company that develops and sells supply chain management software. The company is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and its common shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol TCS.[1] Tecsys serves customers in healthcare, retail, third-party logistics and wholesale distribution.[2]
History
Tecsys was founded on April 28, 1983, in Montreal by brothers David Brereton and Peter Brereton.[3] The company developed software for inventory management, order fulfillment and warehouse management.
The company listed its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange on July 27, 1998.[4] Peter Brereton was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in January 1995.[5]
Tecsys expanded its product portfolio and geographic presence through acquisitions. In 2014, the company acquired Logi-D, a Montreal-based company specializing in point-of-use supply management for healthcare.[6] In 2018, Tecsys acquired OrderDynamics, adding order management system capabilities for omnichannel retail.[7] In 2019, Tecsys acquired PCSYS A/S, a Danish firm focused on warehouse management, RFID and mobility technology.[8]
Products and services
Tecsys provides supply chain management software through its Elite platform. Its products include warehouse management, order management, healthcare supply chain management, distribution management and analytics software.[9]
The company describes Elite as a cloud-based platform that includes Itopia, a low-code capability used to configure workflows and processes, and TecsysIQ, an intelligence engine used to unify supply chain data and provide operational insights.[10]
As of July 2026, Tecsys' Elite Enterprise Solutions cloud service offering was listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace with the status "Agency Auth In Process" for Class C (Moderate) certification.[11]
Markets served
Tecsys serves customers in healthcare, retail, third-party logistics and general wholesale distribution.[12] In healthcare, its software is used by hospitals and health systems for supply chain management, point-of-use inventory tracking and pharmacy inventory management. In retail and distribution, its software is used for warehouse operations, order fulfillment and omnichannel distribution.
Financial performance
For the fiscal year ended April 30, 2026, Tecsys reported total revenue of CAD $193.1 million, compared with CAD $176.5 million in fiscal 2025. SaaS revenue increased to CAD $80.4 million in fiscal 2026 from CAD $67.1 million in fiscal 2025. The company reported adjusted EBITDA of CAD $20.0 million and net profit of CAD $4.0 million, or CAD $0.27 per share, for fiscal 2026.[13]

Customers and recognition
Tecsys has publicly identified customers in healthcare, distribution, life sciences and retail. Texas Children's Hospital implemented Tecsys' RFID-enabled pharmacy inventory tracking across 13 pharmacy satellite locations and reported a $14 million reduction in pharmacy inventory costs in the first quarter after implementation.[14] Parkview Health was recognized with Tecsys in 2023 for a supply chain project involving pharmacy supply chain work.[15]
Mayo Clinic has used the Tecsys supply chain platform across perioperative and procedural suites and warehouse locations.[16] Mercy has also been identified in a Tecsys case study related to perioperative supply chain management.[17]
Tecsys was named a Challenger in the 2025 and 2026 editions of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems.[18][19] The company was also recognized in Modern Healthcare's 2025 Best in Business awards.[20]
Leadership
Peter Brereton has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tecsys since January 1995.[21] The company's executive team includes Mark J. Bentler, Chief Financial Officer; Rex Ahlstrom, Chief Strategy Officer; Martin Schryburt, Chief Product and Technology Officer; Vito Calabretta, Chief Customer Officer; Bill King, Chief Revenue Officer; Shannon Karl, Chief Marketing Officer; Nancy Cloutier, Chief Human Resources Officer; and Charles Kierpiec, Chief Legal Officer.[22]
