Talobasha is the tenth studio album by Bengali band Chandrabindoo.[1] The name is taken from "bhalobasha-talobasha", which is a common reduplication for things associated with love in the Bengali language.

Background

This album comes 12 years after Chandrabindoo's previous album, Noy, and marks the completion of 100 original songs by the band[2]. The album was also released as a vinyl record[3][4], contrary to previous albums by the band. As an incentive to their fans, the vinyl record contains 11 songs as opposed to 10 on streaming platforms at the time of release.[2] With this, Chandrabindoo also became the first Bengali band to release an LP since Moheener Ghoraguli.[3]

Cover art

Lead vocalist Upal Sengupta, who is also a designer, has usually overlooked album covers for the band, with other band members offering suggestions. For Talobasha, deviating from previous albums to prevent stylistic resemblance, the principal cover art was designed by Chandril Bhattacharya, while Upal supervising the placements and calligraphy.[4]
