StormTrap LLC an American brand of precast concrete and provides modular, underground stormwater management systems used for stormwater detention, retention, infiltration, and water quality treatment. StormTrap designs underground infrastructure systems for commercial, municipal, transportation, educational, and residential developments throughout the United States and in Ontario, Canada. StormTrap is headquartered in Romeoville, Illinois and is owned by PSP Partners.

StormTrap was founded in 2002 by the Hawken family.^[1]

In 2018, it was acquired by Warren Equity Partners.^[2]

In 2022, PSP Partners, founded by Penny Prtizker, aquired the company.^[3]

In 2025, StormTrap acquired Faircloth Skimmer, a manufacturer of surface drain dewatering devices that removes sediment water.^[4]

StormTrap manufactures precast concrete systems used for:

Researchers from Northwestern University have studied stormwater treatment technologies associated with reducing pollutants in urban runoff, including applications related to the Chicago River watershed.^[7]

StormTrap's stormwater treatment technologies have received certifications and verifications from regulatory agencies and independent evaluation organizations.
