Staria

Staria Oyj is a Finnish information systems and financial services company operating internationally. Its services include local and international information systems, financial administration and payroll services, as well as expert services.

Staria Oyj has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom (UK)[1], Sweden, Norway, Estonia and the Czech Republic. In addition, the company’s international financial services cover 50 countries. In 2025, the company’s revenue exceeded EUR 55 million, representing 10% growth, and it employed more than 500 people. [2]

History

Staria Oyj was founded in 2003 by Juha Tommila and Mikko Saari. In 2020, the private equity firm Vaaka Partners acquired a majority stake in the company.[3] In autumn 2021, Artti Aurasmaa was appointed as the successor to Juha Tommila as Chief Executive Officer. [4]

In 2022, Staria acquired Visionbay Solutions Oy, a software and services company focused on business intelligence services.[5] In 2023, another significant acquisition in the company’s history took place when Staria acquired Suitespot AB, a Swedish information technology and services company focused on NetSuite-related business. [6]

Operations and services

Staria’s services include local and international information systems, financial administration and payroll services, as well as expert services.

Staria is Finland’s first Oracle NetSuite partner and began its NetSuite business in 2013. In addition to implementation projects, consulting and ongoing services related to the business platform, the company specializes in the development of Oracle NetSuite–related SuiteApps and complementary systems. Staria is also the most awarded Oracle NetSuite partner in the Nordic countries.[7]

Customers and focus

Staria primarily serves international growth companies. Its clients include several unicorn and high‑growth companies.

Staria as an employer

Staria is a Future Workplaces–certified employer. The certification is awarded to companies whose corporate culture emphasizes leadership, reflected in employee experience and high scores in the Siqni employee survey. The certification is granted by The Significant Company Oy.[8]

Staria is also an accounting firm authorized by the Association of Finnish Accounting Firms (Suomen Taloushallintoliitto ry). During the 2017–2018 term, the association’s board authorized a total of 28 companies providing financial administration services, of which Staria was the first to be authorized as a service center.[9]
