Splanky is a British saxophone quartet based in Gloucestershire, England. Formed in 2023, the quartet comprises Karen Wray, Lee Shaw, Diane Arthurs and Carolyn Folley.[1]
Splanky was formed in 2023 after its members, who had previously performed together in other ensembles, established a saxophone quartet.[1]
In November 2024, Splanky performed as part of the Moreton-in-Marsh Christmas Lights Switch-On programme.[2]
On 8 March 2025, the quartet presented The Wind of Change at the Corinium Museum, Cirencester, to mark International Women's Day.[3][4]
On 4 July 2025, the quartet performed a charity concert at St Mary de Crypt, Gloucester, in support of the Hollie Gazzard Trust as part of the Purple HollieDay fundraising campaign.[5]
In November 2025, Splanky returned to perform at the Moreton-in-Marsh Christmas Lights Switch-On.[6]
