Scott Singer is an American attorney and politician who has served as the 35th Mayor of Boca Raton, Florida since 2018. In December 2025, Singer announced his candidacy as a Republican for Florida’s 23rd congressional district in the 2026 election.[1]
Singer was born in South Florida and attended Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, graduating in 1994. He later attended Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government, graduating cum laude. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.[2]
Singer was first elected to the Boca Raton City Council in 2014, and then was elected Mayor in 2018. He was re-elected in 2020 with approximately 89% of the vote and ran unopposed in 2023.[2][3]
Singer has served as Chair of the America First Policy Institute Mayors' Council, as a US Advisory Board Member for the Combat Antisemitism Movement, and as a past President of the Florida League of Mayors.[2][4]
On December 18, 2025, Singer officially announced his candidacy for Florida's 23rd Congressional District, a seat held by Representative Jared Moskowitz.[5][6]
Singer appeared on the television shows Jeopardy! and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?[7][8]
