Sanjoy Deb (born December 18, 1991), known professionally by his stage name Sanjoy, is an American musician, electronic dance music producer, and DJ. He primarily produces EDM tracks[1] and is heavily influenced by Bollywood.
Sanjoy's best-known musical piece is the song "Shangri-La", which charted on the US Top 40 and Dance Radio.[2] In 2017, he released "Obvi", featuring American Idol singer Elliott Yamin. In 2021, he released the song and music video "One in a Million" in collaboration with Mark Tuan of Got7. In 2022, he composed and produced five songs for Guru Randhawa's blockbuster album Man of the Moon. Sanjoy has also produced tracks on Indian rapper Ikka's third studio album Only Love Gets Reply.[3]
Sanjoy Deb was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and raised in San Jose, California. He attended Evergreen Valley High School and De Anza College, and later graduated with a business degree from San Jose State University. Sanjoy began his musical career working alongside his partner and executive producer, Kunal Agarwal. Sanjoy claims strong Bangladeshi roots through his grandparents.[4] On 12 June 2026, Sanjoy, Nora Fatehi and French singer Vegedream performed "Siir Siir," an official 2026 World Cup song, at the second opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Toronto, Canada.[5]
