Rynoh is a cloud-based software company that provides escrow accounting, reconciliation, and wire fraud prevention tools to title insurance agents, attorneys, and settlement companies in the United States.[1] Founded in 2007, the company says its platform was developed by a title agent for the title industry, and it has since become one of the largest providers of financial-safeguard software used during real estate closings.[1][2]
Rynoh was founded in 2007 as a Virginia-based company offering automated escrow reconciliation software to title and settlement agents.[1][3] In May 2021, the company was acquired by Porch Group, a Seattle-based software and insurance company listed on Nasdaq under the ticker PRCH, which expanded its reach into the title insurance industry through the purchase.[3] Following the acquisition, Rynoh continued to operate under its own brand while adding new modules to its software suite. In June 2022, the company launched RynohEscheat, a module intended to help title companies track and report unclaimed funds in line with state escheatment laws.[3] In January 2024, Porch Group announced the release of RynohVerifi, a product designed to confirm payee account ownership and flag irregularities that could indicate business email compromise or impersonation schemes before a wire transfer is sent.[4] According to Porch Group, roughly 40 percent of United States residential home purchases and refinances used Rynoh software as of 2024, up from about 30 percent in 2021.[4]
Rynoh's core offering is an escrow account auditing and reconciliation platform that connects to a title or escrow company's accounting software and bank accounts to monitor the movement of client funds.[5] The platform performs continuous account auditing, daily reconciliation, and transaction monitoring, and it generates automated compliance and forensic reports intended to help firms detect discrepancies or potential fraud.[2][5] Additional modules include:
The company markets its software to settlement agents, attorneys, and title insurance underwriters, positioning the underwriter-facing tools as a way for insurers to monitor trust accounts held by their network of agents.[5] Rynoh states that the funds monitored through its platform total more than $35 trillion in disbursements.[7]
Rynoh operates as a business unit of Porch Group, Inc., a publicly traded vertical software and insurance company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, that serves companies across the home-services industry, including inspectors, movers, warranty providers, and title companies.[4] Porch Group has continued to expand Rynoh's product line since the acquisition as part of its broader strategy of offering software to companies involved in home purchases and closings.[4]
