Remote Vans (founded in 2021) is an American manufacturer of adventure vans. The company is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.[1]

History

Remote Vans was co-founded in 2021 by Tony Alexander and Daryn Hillhouse.[2][3]

In 2023, Remote Vans achieved RVIA certification. In February 2024, Remote Vans relocated to a purpose-built 30,000-square-foot production facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.[4] In the following year, the company announced its updated 2026 Series lineup.[5][6]

Technology and products

Platform

Remote Vans are built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 144-inch wheelbase.[7][8]

Power and Off-Grid Systems

Vehicles incorporate lithium battery banks, solar panels, and AC shore power charging. Higher-specification models include 48-volt air-conditioning systems that operate on battery power without engine or generator assistance. Induction cooktops and microwave ovens are standard in most configurations.[7][8]

Connectivity

Remote Vans vehicles are compatible with Starlink satellite internet, enabling broadband-speed connections in areas without cellular coverage.[7]

Cyber Shower

Remote Vans recirculating water system called the Cyber Shower. The system filters and recirculates water in real time during use, allowing for longer shower durations.[9]

Off-Road Configurations

Higher-tier models, including the Aegis and Oasis Series, include off-road-oriented configurations such as all-terrain tires, upgraded suspension, skid plates, and reinforced bumpers.[8]

Awards and recognition

  • RV of the Year Awards by RVB, 2025[10]
  • Ranked first on Miami University’s RedHawk50 list of the fastest-growing companies led by its alumni in 2025[11]
