RealEye is a Polish software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that provides a browser-based platform for webcam eye-tracking research. It has been used for user-experience (UX) testing, digital marketing studies, and academic research.[1][2]

History

RealEye was founded in 2017 to offer a lower-cost alternative to traditional hardware-based eye-tracking systems. The company, RealEye Sp. z o.o., was formally registered on 1 March 2019 following funding from SpeedUp Group and Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju (NCBR).[1][2][3]

Technology

RealEye applies computer vision and deep learning to detect faces and approximate eye position using standard webcams. The platform calculates gaze points and visual attention metrics within the browser and can run on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones without specialized infrared-based hardware.[3][4]
