Raymond Revel (born Raymond Revel Shideler III; August 10, 1996) is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Burbank, California. Known for his indie pop sound and positive, relatable lyrics, Revel has released music independently since 2018, accumulating millions of streams on Spotify.[1][2]
Revel was born and raised in Burbank, California. He began playing piano by ear at the age of five and started writing full songs at age eleven.[3] During his time at Burbank High School, he studied music production under producer Andrew Lane. Revel later attended Texas Christian University.[2]
Revel began releasing music on streaming platforms in 2018. His debut single "Sunrise" gained significant traction, being featured on Spotify's "Discover Weekly" playlist for four consecutive months and accumulating over 2.4 million streams.[3][2]
Prior to his solo career, Revel served as a background vocalist for artists including Demi Lovato, Pharrell, and Little Big Town on television programs such as The Voice, iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, and the American Music Awards.[3]
In 2021, Revel released his debut album The Living Room, an eight-track collection featuring songs such as "I Met A Voice," "Something Good," and "Walls."[4]
In 2023, Revel collaborated with electronic music producer Bad Computer on the single "Electric," which was released on the Monstercat label.[5]
His musical style has been compared to artists such as Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars.[2][3]
