Founded in 2011, the company provides security engineering, security operations, and related technical services to private-sector enterprises and United States federal government agencies.12
History
The company was established in 2011 as Phoenix Data Security, Inc.2 In July 2018, it adopted the trade name "Phoenix Cybersecurity," which the company stated was intended to align its branding with the cybersecurity services it had developed since its founding.3 In December 2021, coinciding with its tenth anniversary, the company shortened the brand to "Phoenix Cyber" and adopted a matching domain name.4 The legal entity remains Phoenix Data Security, Inc., which does business as Phoenix Cyber.1

Phoenix Cyber describes its work as cybersecurity services, including security engineering and architecture, security operations, incident response, data protection, cloud security, threat hunting, and security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR).15 The company has worked with SOAR and security platforms from vendors including Swimlane, Splunk, and others.1
