Peter G. Gurt is an American educational administrator who has served as president of the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania since 2014.^[1] He is also associated with Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, an early childhood education initiative in Pennsylvania.^[2]

Gurt graduated from the Milton Hershey School in 1985. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Temple University and a master's degree in education from Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg.

Gurt has spent his career at the Milton Hershey School, holding leadership roles including vice president of administration, vice president of education and student life, and senior vice president and chief operating officer prior to becoming president.

He was appointed president of the Milton Hershey School in 2014.^[1] In this role, he oversees the operations and strategic direction of the school, which provides residential education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Milton Hershey School, founded in 1909 by Milton S. Hershey, is one of the largest and wealthiest residential schools in the United States, serving more than 2,000 students and funded by a multibillion-dollar trust.^[1]

Gurt has also been involved in expanding early childhood education initiatives, including Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, which aim to support children from low-income families.^[2]
