Olive Mary Birrell (1848 – 15 February 1926) was a British novelist and social worker.
Olive Birrell was born in 1848, the daughter of the Rev. Charles M. Birrell, Baptist minister at the Pembroke Chapel in Liverpool, and Harriet Jane Grey, daughter of the Rev. Henry Grey and Margaretta Grey. Her brother was the MP Augustine Birrell.[1]
Her short story " The History of Malcolm Mackenzie" was collected in the anthology The Professional and Other Psychic Stories (1900), edited by Ada Goodrich Freer.
Olive Birrell died in London on 15 February 1926 at the age of 78.[3]
