Novocrane is a Filipino rock band from Cebu City, formed in 2024. The band, led by Kai Sevillano (vocals/lead guitar), also consists of Luke April (lead guitar), Zon Lee (bass), and Ram Alonzo (drums). ^[5]

Novocrane started out as a solo project by Bacolod-born Kai Sevillano, who got inspired to write her own songs after discovering Phoebe Bridgers during the pandemic. Prior to that, Sevillano was the bassist for her church's worship band.

Kai Sevillano eventually moved to Cebu City to study in college, where she would meet fixtures of the city's local indie scene, namely Karl Lucente and Luigi Balazo. While Lucente intended to be Sevillano's bandmate, he wasn't able to commit. Balazo, on the other hand, produced Novocrane's debut single, "Imaginary Party", and served as the touring guitarist for Sevillano during her gigs.

Sevillano briefly moved back to Bacolod after dropping out of her college, before getting an invitation from production outfit The Rest Is Noise to perform at All Of The Noise 2025. She took the decision to permanently move to Manila, hoping that Novocrane might become more successful. Sevillano stated that “the decision to move [to Manila] honestly felt more of a survival-based move" and that she "flew [to Manila] with everything to gain [and] nothing to lose”.
