New Frames is a German techno duo from Berlin formed by producers Mathis Mootz — also known for his drum and bass project The Panacea — and David Frisch, also credited as David Leimstädtner.[1] They release hybridised, maximalist techno chiefly through the label Bite, including the 2023 double LP Scherben, and have performed at venues including Berghain.[2] Frisch, who grew up in South Tyrol, is featured in the 2025 book Inside the Studio: Spaces of Electronic Music Production, edited by Matthias Pasdzierny and Gero Cacciatore.[3] Through their own label, Sistema Records, the duo released the ambient album Bloom: Ambient Music for Flowers and Plants in 2026.[4][a]
