History
In 2021, Myya was founded in Maryland, USA by Jasmine Jones, a social entrepreneur, and Dr. Regina Hampton, a breast surgeon.[4] Before Myya, Jones and Hampton co-founded Cherry Blossom Intimates, a lingerie and post-mastectomy boutique, which inspired them to create a more scalable tech-enabled solution, hence Myya. To address the gaps in access to high-quality, insurance-covered post-mastectomy bras and breast forms, Jones and Hampton curated Myya. [5]
Myya joined Google for Startups and accelerator programs focused on women and minority-owned businesses.[6] Jasmine Jones was recognized by "Forbes" in its “Next 1000” list of up-and-coming entrepreneurs in 2020.[7] Myya also raised venture funding led by Serena Williams’ Serena Ventures to expand its platform and services in 2022.[8]
Products and services
One of Myya’s advantages is that it provides a digital platform where women can order post-mastectomy bras, breast forms, and related products. To cater to clients with their needs at their own comfort, Myya offers both in-person and virtual fitting with their certified mastectomy fitters. This gives the breast cancer survivors easy access to custom-fitted garments. Another advantage the Myya is offering is its insurance billing: the platform handles the process of coordinating with insurance providers so that patients can receive their products with minimal to zero out-of-pocket expense.[9]
Recognition and awards
Myya and Jasmine have been recognized and featured in multiple media outlets, including "Forbes", "Business Insider", and "Essence", because of their innovative approach to post-mastectomy care.[10][11][12] The founder, Jasmine Jones, received recognition as a Forbes “Next 1000” entrepreneur and has been profiled for her leadership in women’s health innovation.[13] Myya has also been highly recognized by Innovations of the World for its role in modernizing access to mastectomy products.[14] Recently, in September 2025, Myya won the Crab Tank pitch competition at Baltimore Homecoming, a civic and entrepreneurship event, they received $25,000 grand prize.
