Monkey Tilt is an American online casino and sportsbook company that supports cryptocurrency transactions. The company was founded in 2024 by Sam Kiki and is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.[1][2][3]

History

Monkey Tilt was founded in 2024 by Sam Kiki. Kiki held positions in MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment. Prior to its launch, the company raised $21 million in seed funding round led by Polychain Capital.[4][1] In November 2024, the company announced a $30 million Series A funding round led by U.S hedge fund, Pantera Capital,[5][2] with additional participation from PokerGO.[6]

In late 2024, following the Series A funding round,[3][7] the platform introduced blockchain-based features, including cryptocurrency payments and NFT-based player rewards.[8] Fortune reported that the funding would be used to expand the company’s online gaming platform. The platform also introduced cryptocurrency staking.[3]

Platform

Monkey Tilt provides an online casino and sportsbook.[9] The sportsbook offers wagering on traditional sports, esports and virtual sports.[10] The casino includes games from third party providers such as Evolution and Pragmatic Play, as well as proprietary games.[11][12] A live casino section offers dealer-mediated games including baccarat and roulette.[13][14] According to TechCrunch, the company emphasizes cryptocurrency as the payment infrastructure rather than its primary consumer-facing brand.[9][10]

The company has released non-fungible token (NFT) collections. The NFTs are used separately from gameplay and wagering.[15] From November 2024, Monkey Tilt allowed users to wager on player statistical predictions.[16][10]

Sponsorships and partnerships

During Super Bowl LIX, Monkey Tilt partnered with Complex Networks and PokerGO to sponsor events in New Orleans, including a $1 million jackpot promotion.[17][18][19] The event also included a promotional vehicle built in collaboration with West Coast Customs.[20][21][22] In 2024, boxer Edgar Berlanga became a brand ambassador for the company.[23][24]
