Michael Seltzer (January 17, 1947 – July 31, 2025) was a non-profit professional and activist who transformed and expanded fundraising for AIDS and gay rights causes in the 1980s and 1990s.
Early life and education
Seltzer was born January 17, 1947 in Manhattan. His parents were lawyer Max Seltzer and Dorothy (née Reisman) Seltzer, a homemaker.[1]
He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, one of New York City's selective specialized high schools. He attended Syracuse University, where he majored in international relations and African Studies, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1968 from the university's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
