Larant Cureaux (born June 2, 1987), known professionally as LROC, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and creative executive from Tacoma, Washington. His stage name is an acronym for Love, Respect, Obligation, and Currency. LROC is known for his independent music releases, entrepreneurial ventures, and involvement in creative initiatives throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Early life
Larant Cureaux was born on June 2, 1987, in Seattle, Washington. He is the son of Kimberly McNeil, originally from Trenton, New Jersey, and Cedric Cureaux, from Washington, D.C. [citation needed]
Cureaux later relocated to Tacoma, Washington during his youth. He has credited early exposure to recording studios through family connections as a major influence on his pursuit of music and entrepreneurship. [citation needed]
Career
LROC developed a regional following through independent releases and collaborations throughout the Pacific Northwest hip hop scene. His work frequently combines themes of entrepreneurship, street narratives, ambition, and personal development.
In 2020, LROC released the albums Luxury and Trap. Although often collectively referred to as Luxury Trap, the projects were released as separate albums. Regional publication Respect My Region highlighted the releases and LROC's role within the Northwest hip hop scene.[1]
LROC later released Juug God Larry, which received coverage from Tacoma publication BAD253.[2]
Outside of music, LROC expanded into entrepreneurship through LX3 Entertainment and LX3 Creative Space, contributing to artist development and creative media production initiatives. [citation needed]

LROC's music frequently focuses on themes of ambition, hustle culture, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and motivational storytelling. His style has been described as combining street narratives with business-minded themes.[2]
Personal life
In 2021, Cureaux was connected to a custody-related matter involving his son that received regional media coverage after authorities reported that his child was believed to be traveling with him from Tennessee to Washington state.[3][4]
Subsequent family court proceedings and related outcomes have not been widely documented in independent public reporting.
