The Warren Kinney Memorial Oak Tree was a white oak tree located in Harding Township, New Jersey.
During a storm on August 13, 2024, a large branch broke off of the tree.[1][2]
A plaque on the tree commemorated the life of a well-known dairy farmer and community leader from New Vernon, NJ. According to Mr. Kinney's 1975 obituary, he "helped lead a fight to prevent a jetport from being built on the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge in Morris County," and was "a founding member of the Madison Square Club, and trustee of the New York Zoological Society."[3]
The tree fell on June 30, 2025.[4][5][6]
