Draft:Kate Clow
  • Comment: Draft is reliant upon three references, two of which are interviews (so primary - see WP:INT). To meet WP:AUTHOR, it would help to add independent reviews of her books; WP:GNG also requires multiple references giving significant coverage in published reliable independent secondary sources. Kate Clow is a British-born now Turkish-naturalised author focused on long-distance trails in Turkey.

Biography

Clow was born in the UK in 1947[1] and moved to Turkey in 1988. She initially worked in Istanbul and Ankara until 1993 when she moved to Antalya.[1] She has been naturalized in Turkey in 1997.[1]

She researched, designed and waymarked the Lycian Way, a 760km long-distance hiking trail in southwestern Turkey around part of the coast of ancient Lycia, mainly streching from Fethiye to Antalya.[2] The Lycian Way opened in 1999.

In collobaration with Terry Richardson Clow also developed the Saint Paul Trail which starts in Perga, Antalya and end in Yalvaç, Isparta (2004) and Kaçkar routes in the Kaçkar Mountains (2008).[3] Clow also helped Caroline Finkel to develop Evliya Çelebi Way in 2011.[citation needed]
