Olajide Abubakar Rasak (born June 2000), known professionally as Jidex, is a Nigerian content influencer, activist, critic, and philanthropist.[1] Between 2024 and 2025, he gained a larger audience on social media, reaching one million followers on TikTok in 2025. The milestone was reported by Nigerian media outlets.[2]
In 2024, his fashion brand, Jidex Klothing, received the “Fastest Growing Fashion House” award at the Cool Wealth Awards.[3] That same year, he appeared as an honorary guest at the Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) Pageantry & Awards.[4]
In September 2025, Vanguard Nigeria included him in its coverage as one of emerging Nigerian creatives.[5] He was nominated at the African Creators Summit on January 23, 2025 and again at the 2026 edition on January 29, 2026.[6][7][8] On February 9, 2026, he won a Creator Award at the 8th edition of The Emperor Awards.[9]
Between 2024 and 2025, Jidex expanded his audience on TikTok to one million followers with content that included commentary on public and civic issues.[10]
He addressed widely reported incidents, including the reported kidnapping of content creator Peller and the death of comedian Sanku.[11][12][13]
According to Punch Newspapers, Jidex stated that his engagement with social advocacy began in 2024, including efforts to assist individuals in recovering assets lost to fraudulent business schemes.[14] He has also refuted comparisons with other activists especially Verydarkman. According to The Sun Nigeria, Jidex stated that his actions were not only guided by his personal principles rather it was mere emulation.[15] On January 23, 2025, he was recognized at the African Creators Summit.[16][17]
Jidex has released songs including “Blessings”, “Broda Zazuu”, and “44 Flows”.[18][19]
Jidex founded the fashion brand Jidex Klothing in 2017, which was named “Fastest Growing Fashion House” at the Cool Wealth Awards 2024. The Sun Nigeria reported the recognition. That same year, he appeared as a honorary guest at the Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) Pageantry & Awards.[20]
According to an interview published by ThisDay Newspaper, Jidex has discussed issues related to consumer protection and financial awareness in Nigeria’s digital economy.[21]
In various interviews with Nigerian media outlets like The Sun Newspaper, MyJoyonline, Jidex spoke about his involvement in social advocacy and financial literacy initiatives.[22][23] Beginning in 2024, he stated that he used his social media platforms to highlight cases involving alleged financial fraud and unfulfilled commercial agreements, and to draw attention to disputes between consumers and online vendors.[24]
Jidex has described this shift in focus as the development of a “purpose-driven brand.” In an interview with The Punch, he attributed his activities to a sense of responsibility toward participants in youth-driven digital communities.[25] He has also used his platforms to promote financial literacy among young Nigerians and digital creators, with an emphasis on business sustainability and long-term economic planning.[26]
