Jessica Bang (2007 – 13 August 2026) was an Australian professional golfer who competed on the WPGA Tour of Australasia and was a member of the KLPGA Tour's International Tour.

Early life and amateur career

Bang was born in 2007 and represented Australia in golf. She had a successful amateur career before turning professional in November 2025.

Professional career

Bang turned professional in November 2025. She competed on the WPGA Tour of Australasia and later became a member of the KLPGA Tour's International Tour.

In February 2026, Bang won the Ford Women's NSW Open Regional Qualifying Event at Moss Vale Golf Club. She shot a final-round 65, eight under par, to finish at 13-under-par and win by five strokes. The performance set a course record and came in her fifth professional start.[1]

Bang's victory was her first professional title and established her as an emerging young golfer in Australian women's golf.

Death

In August 2026, Bang was in Bangkok, Thailand, preparing for the KLPGA Tour's International Qualifying Tournament. On 1 August, she suffered a brain haemorrhage and was taken to hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.[2]

Bang died on 13 August 2026, aged 18. Her death was followed by tributes from the Australian golfing community.[3]
