As of 2025, JFrog has over 1600 employees, of which around 1000 are based in Israel.[3]

In November 2016, JFrog acquired Conan, a C and C++ package manager.[4]

On September 16, 2020, JFrog launched its initial public offering on the Nasdaq.[5]

Products

JFrog develops DevOps software products.[1] One of these products is JFrog Artifactory, a repository for software artifacts.[5] Artifactory allows hosting a repository of packages, which can be hosted locally or on JFrog's servers.[6][7]

2026 OpenAI agent cyberattacks

In July 2026, an OpenAI AI model identified and exploited multiple security flaws in Artifactory, which it used to escape its testing environment and breach the infrastructure of Hugging Face.[6] The role of Artifactory in the exploit chain was not disclosed until it was announced by JFrog alongside security patches for it on 29 July, a week after OpenAI had announced its own role in the attacks.[8][9]
