IoTNet Mexico (commercially branded as 0G IoT Solutions) is a Mexican IoT network operator and integrator headquartered in Mexico City. The company operates the Sigfox 0G LPWAN in Mexico and provides multi-technology IoT connectivity services.[1][2]
IoTNet Mexico was founded in 2015 in Mexico City. Forbes México described the company as making the Internet of things a reality in Mexico.[3]
In July 2016, IoTNet Mexico partnered with WND Group and Sigfox to deploy the Sigfox 0G network in Mexico, making it the 21st country to roll out the network.[4][5] The initial deployment covered Mexico City, with the network subsequently expanding to cover 85% of the Mexican population and 50% of the national territory.[6][7]
Following the insolvency of Sigfox SA in January 2022 and its subsequent acquisition by UnaBiz, IoTNet Mexico continued operations without disruption due to its independently owned and operated infrastructure.[2] The company subsequently expanded its technology offerings to include LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, and Cat-M1 alongside its Sigfox 0G network.[2]
The company rebranded commercially as 0G IoT Solutions while retaining IoTNet de México S.A. de C.V. as its legal entity.[2]
As of 2026, IoTNet Mexico operates more than 1,000 base stations across Mexico, providing coverage in over 200 cities reaching approximately 60% of the Mexican population.[2] The network processes over 8 million messages daily from more than 500,000 monitored endpoints served through approximately 100,000 Sigfox 0G connectivity modules.[2]
The company's primary deployment is in smart electricity metering, where each meter is equipped with an individual Sigfox NIC (Network Interface Card), providing dedicated connectivity per metering point.[2] Additional deployments include smart water metering, LP gas monitoring, agricultural sensors, and asset tracking.[2]
The company's network infrastructure uses a rooftop antenna model where base stations are installed on residential and commercial rooftops rather than telecommunications towers. Property owners receive internet access in exchange for hosting the equipment.[2]
IoTNet Mexico operates as a multi-technology IoT connectivity provider:[2]
