Inka Insurance (originally launched as InsurancePadosi) is an Indian insurance technology company founded in 2023 and based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.[1][2]
The platform began operations in 2023 under the name InsurancePadosi, created by Vaibhav Kathju, Abhay Singh, and Gaurav Gupta.[3] In March 2025, it rebranded to Inka. According to company announcements at the time, the new identity was intended to signal a wider national presence and emphasise a more personal approach to insurance. Inka was explained as a Hindi term for "yours".[4]
Inka markets a tool known as the Inka Insurance Report(IIR), which provides plan recommendations for health, term life, and critical illness insurance. The company describes the IIR as a way to simplify the decision-making for customers using limited input data; these claims are attributed to company announcements.[5]
In June 2025, Inka announced a collaboration with fitness platform GrowFitter to introduce an insurance wellness score that combines activity and wearable-device data with coverage analytics.[6][7]
