IMLÉ is a contemporary Irish music collective set up by Dublin based musician and producer of TG4 and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, Cian MacCárthaigh. The group performs in the Irish language and mixes many styles of music from trip-hop to dreampop to indie. The band has been celebrated for their dedication to creating and performing in Irish, with Void.ie remarking that 'this commitment to singing in their native tongue is more than just an artistic choice – it’s a powerful statement about the importance of preserving and celebrating the Irish language.'[1]

The current line-up includes Mac Cárthaigh along with Róisín Seoighe, James Shannon and Neil Ó Briain.

IMLÉ have played at several European music festivals in recent years, including Celtic Connections in Scotland, Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht and SUNS EUROPE in Udine in Italy.[2]

In 2024, IMLÉ's song 'Peacach' was used as the opening titles music for the Netflix series BODKIN.[3][4][5]

In 2025, IMLÉ headlined the Hazelwood stage at Electric Picnic, in Ireland.
