Filip Rejczyk (born 20 April 2006) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ekstraklasa club GKS Katowice.[1][2] He has represented Poland at youth international level and was a member of the team that reached the semi-finals of the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[3]
Born in Stalowa Wola, Rejczyk played youth football for DAP Lider Trześń and AP Profi Zielonki before joining the academy of Legia Warsaw in 2019.[4] He progressed through the club's youth teams and later played for its reserve side.
Rejczyk made his first-team and Ekstraklasa debut on 21 July 2023, replacing Bartosz Slisz during a 3–0 home victory over ŁKS Łódź.[5] He made six league appearances during the 2023–24 season, totalling 65 minutes of playing time.[6]
Rejczyk left Legia following the expiry of his contract in June 2024. According to TVP Sport, several Ekstraklasa clubs, including Raków Częstochowa, Widzew Łódź, Piast Gliwice, Pogoń Szczecin, Zagłębie Lubin and Śląsk Wrocław, had been interested in signing him.[6]
On 17 June 2024, Rejczyk signed a two-year contract with Śląsk Wrocław, which included an option for a further season.[7]
During the first half of the 2024–25 season, he made six first-team appearances: three in the Ekstraklasa, two in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League and one in the Polish Cup.[8] Only one of those appearances came as a starter. He subsequently lost his place in the first-team squad and spent the remainder of the campaign with Śląsk's reserve side in the III liga.[6][8]
Rejczyk left Śląsk in July 2025 following the club's relegation from the Ekstraklasa. A later profile published by Gazeta Wrocławska examined his development from Legia's academy through Śląsk to GKS Katowice and the difficulties he had encountered in establishing himself in senior football.[9]
On 18 July 2025, Rejczyk joined GKS Katowice on a three-year contract, with an option for an additional season.[4]
His first-team involvement during the 2025–26 campaign was limited. He made two appearances in the Ekstraklasa and two in the Polish Cup, without scoring.[2] By October 2025, he was playing primarily for GKS's reserve team in the fifth-tier IV liga.[9]
Rejczyk was sidelined by injury during part of the second half of the season. In the summer of 2026, he joined ŁKS Łódź on trial and appeared in two friendly matches, but the club decided not to sign him.[10]
Rejczyk represented Poland at several youth international levels. He was selected for the Polish squad for the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Hungary.[3]
On 27 May 2023, he scored a late direct free kick in Poland's 3–2 quarter-final victory over Serbia. The result took Poland into the semi-finals and secured the country's qualification for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.[11][12]
Poland were eliminated in the semi-finals following a 5–3 defeat to Germany.[13]
The table lists first-team competitive appearances and excludes reserve-team matches.
