McKenzie JaKovie Haynes was born on March 24, 2005, in Mobile, Alabama. He began experimenting with music at a young age, recording songs during his teenage years. Around 2020, he began pursuing music more seriously, marking the start of his professional career. Before adopting the stage name FattMack, he initially performed under the name Big Mack.[1]
Haynes began gaining widespread recognition in 2023, with his style that was characterized by a mix of trap, rap, and hip-hop influences, which helped him carve out a unique space in the underground music industry.
Entering into 2024, Haynes would release his first EP, FATT. He would continue a trend of releasing, by releasing 3 albums in a 7 month span, Mr Did It By Hisself 2, Money Music Murder, and TMK. This continued success would lead to him signing a record deal with label Great Day Records, a sublabel of Santa Anna Records.
In April 2025, Haynes would release his 6th studio album titled, Here To Stay. In August of that same year, he would release a 7-track EP titled Untreated Trauma, that would chart in the top 10 on Apple Music.
FattMack’s music incorporates elements of trap, gangsta rap, emo rap, and pop rap. His lyrics often explore personal experiences, emotional struggles, and lifestyle themes.
